Knowles are looking for a detail oriented and proactive Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our busy Accounts Team at our London HQ in Marylebone. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our accounts payable function, supporting the business delivering some of the UK’s most prestigious residential projects.

About the Role

You’ll be part of a small, supportive Purchase Ledger Team led by our Purchase Ledger Supervisor. Together, you’ll be responsible for accurately processing purchase invoices, managing key accounts inboxes, and maintaining strong controls across all aspects of the ledger, from materials and overheads to staff expenses and purchasing cards. This is a varied, hands on role where attention to detail, organisation, and teamwork are key. You’ll also collaborate closely with project teams across the business to ensure accurate and timely payments.

Responsibilities

  • Process material, overhead, and agency invoices accurately and on time
  • Process timesheets and invoices for site operatives and project management staff
  • Manage shared accounts inboxes
  • Support reconciliations and control processes, including supplier statements, payment allocations, and purchasing card reconciliations
  • Provide cover and assistance to the Subcontractor Ledger Manager when required
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy and compliance in all purchase ledger processes

Qualifications

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to prioritise and manage time and workload
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and accounts software (experience with COINS or similar systems desirable)
