We’re seeking an experienced Performance Manager to join our dedicated team. Performance Manager – Role Overview and Purpose

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Performance Manager to oversee the operational delivery of our apprenticeship programmes across all curriculum areas. This role focuses on performance and team management, leveraging a data-driven approach aligned with apprenticeship delivery standards and ESFA funding guidelines.

Reporting into our Operations and Quality Director, your key responsibilities will include achieving quarterly and end-of-year performance metrics, maintaining learner retention and high distinction rates, and ensuring the effective communication and implementation of directives. You will also continually prioritise the development and well-being of your Team Leaders through regular check-ins and performance reviews.

As a role model for leadership, you will inspire and guide Team Leaders, fostering a high-performance culture and aligning with KB’s strategic objectives and values. Your holistic view of delivery will help drive measurable impact for learners and clients, while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and ensuring academic and operational excellence.

Performance Manager – Key Areas of Responsibility

As the manager of the delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the below goals and metrics are achieved through effective management strategies:

  • End-of-Year Performance Metrics: Oversee and ensure the achievement of retention rates, QAR, distinction rates, and NPS targets from both learners and clients.
  • Monthly Targets: Oversee and ensure timely entry into the gateway, learner engagement, learner progress, management of Out of Funding (OOF) and Breaks in Learning (BILs), and completion of all learning cycles on time.
  • Team Leadership: Foster excellence in Curriculum Team Leaders, promote collaboration, and use data to align outcomes with learner goals and organisational objectives.
  • Performance Management: Implement and utilize Balanced Scorecards, set ambitious goals, and apply continuous improvement strategies to enhance team performance.
  • Risk Management: Maintain staffing levels, oversee at-risk learners, conduct exit interviews, and align operational decisions with KB’s growth objectives.
  • Operational Efficiency: Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, align decisions with financial objectives, manage clawback, and oversee staff induction.
  • Client Engagement: Align operational strategies with client expectations, gather and analyze client feedback, provide tailored solutions, and monitor client satisfaction.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with Ofsted, ESFA regulations, prepare for audits, and ensure accurate reporting and documentation.
  • Professional Development: Equip Team Leaders and their teams for operational excellence, ensure CPD compliance, foster a high-performance environment, and share best practices.
