About the Role
We're looking for a passionate and learner-focused Skills Coach to support apprentices studying the Level 4 Project Management apprenticeship standard. You'll work closely with a cohort of learners, providing coaching, support, challenge, and guidance throughout their apprenticeship journey. Your role will be to help learners develop their knowledge, skills, and behaviours while ensuring they remain engaged, make strong progress, and successfully achieve their apprenticeship. Skills Coach - Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain positive coaching relationships with learners throughout their apprenticeship journey
- Deliver engaging one-to-one coaching sessions, workshops, and learning activities
- Support learners to develop their project management knowledge, skills, and behaviours in line with the apprenticeship standard
- Monitor learner progress and implement interventions where additional support is required
- Conduct regular progress reviews with learners and employers, setting meaningful development goals
- Prepare learners for End Point Assessment and support them to achieve successful outcomes
- Maintain accurate learner records and ensure compliance with apprenticeship requirements
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to continuously improve learner experience, quality, and outcomes
- Contribute to standardisation activities, best practice sharing, and curriculum improvements
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
Essential
- Experience coaching, mentoring, training, or supporting adult learners
- Strong knowledge and practical experience of project management principles and methodologies
- Ability to build positive relationships and motivate learners from a range of backgrounds
- Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills
- Ability to manage a caseload of learners and maintain accurate records
- Passion for learning, development, and helping others achieve their potential
- Minimum GCSE Grade C/Level 4 (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
Desirable
- Experience delivering or supporting apprenticeship programmes
- Experience within project management roles or environments
- Qualification at Level 4 or above in Project Management or a related discipline
- Teaching, coaching, assessment, or training qualifications
- Membership of a relevant professional body such as the Association for Project Management
- Knowledge of apprenticeship standards, funding requirements, and End Point Assessment processes
