Skills Coach - People Professional Level 5 and 7 Apprenticeships
Full Time, Remote (UK - must live within a reasonable commute of London for occasional in-person days)

At KnowledgeBrief, we’ve been at the forefront of leadership and management training for 20 years, enhancing learning experiences through our pioneering KBPro platform. Following the expansion of our apprenticeship provision in 2024, we're now looking for an experienced apprenticeship assessor to join our team as a Skills Coach for our Level 7 People Professional Apprenticeship. As our apprenticeship offering grows, this role will also include taking on learners for the upcoming Level 5 People Professional Apprenticeship once launched.
Role Overview
As a Skills Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting learners through their People Professional Apprenticeships, helping them develop the strategic competencies required for senior HR roles. You will guide learners in integrating their apprenticeship learning with on-the-job experiences, ensuring they develop a strong understanding of advanced HR principles, business leadership, and people strategies. This role is fully remote, though candidates must live within a reasonable commute of London for occasional in-person meetings and company away days.

Skills Coach – Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert coaching, guidance, and motivation to adult learners enrolled in the Level 7 People Professional Apprenticeship
- Develop tailored learning plans, ensuring structured progression from each learner’s starting point
- Integrate on-the-job and off-the-job learning, supporting learners to apply strategic HR principles effectively
- Offer additional support and catch-up strategies to meet individual learner needs
- Engage line managers in the learner’s progress through regular tripartite reviews
- Prepare learners for end-point assessment, ensuring they are fully equipped for success
- Ensure learners meet apprenticeship off-the-job learning requirements and achieve their learning outcomes
- Proactively re-engage learners who may be falling behind, supporting them to progress
- Participate in Apprenticeship Team and Standardisation meetings, contributing to the continuous improvement of our coaching practices
- Foster a passion for learning, engaging with professionals across diverse industries
Skills Coach – Experience & Qualifications
We’re seeking a dedicated HR professional with experience in coaching and mentoring, preferably within the apprenticeship sector. Ideal candidates will have some or all of the following:
- Level 5 or 7 qualification in HR (ideal)
- Experience in coaching and mentoring senior HR professionals (ideal)
- Previous work in the apprenticeship sector (highly desirable)
- Experience in delivering Level 7 People Professional apprenticeships (highly desirable)
- Recognised teaching qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Membership of a relevant professional body (desirable but not essential)
- Strong understanding of HR strategy, leadership, and applied people management
