Through a blend of apprenticeships, digital learning, workshops, coaching, and practical development programmes, we help individuals and organisations build the knowledge, confidence, and capabilities they need to grow and succeed.

Our vision is to inspire the next generation of leaders through high-impact learning experiences that empower great leadership at every level. We support organisations through core leadership and management training, digital and AI upskilling, and broader organisational performance and professional development solutions.

We are a values-driven organisation with a strong focus on innovation, authenticity, inspiration, and relationships, creating meaningful impact for our learners, clients, colleagues, and partners.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Website & SEO Lead to take ownership of our website performance, visibility, and ongoing optimisation across both traditional search engines and emerging AI-driven discovery platforms. This is a hands-on role sitting within our Digital team, working closely with Marketing and Design colleagues to continuously improve how our business is discovered online. You’ll combine technical SEO expertise with practical website development skills, directly implementing improvements that strengthen user experience, increase organic visibility, and improve conversion performance.

The role will focus heavily on SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation), technical optimisation, and front-end implementation, helping ensure our website remains fast, technically strong, highly discoverable, and aligned with rapidly evolving search behaviours.

You’ll play a key role in improving organic growth, increasing marketing-qualified leads (MQLs), and helping shape how KnowledgeBrief is discovered across both search engines and AI-generated answer platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the company website structure, performance, and ongoing optimisation
  • Implement website improvements directly using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Lead and deliver SEO strategy across technical, on-page, and content optimisation
  • Improve rankings, organic visibility, and high-intent traffic opportunities
  • Optimise website content and structure for AI-driven search and answer engines
  • Implement schema markup, structured data, FAQs, and semantic formatting
  • Monitor and improve technical SEO performance including Core Web Vitals, crawlability, indexing, and mobile optimisation
  • Analyse website performance data and conversion journeys to improve MQL generation
  • Use tools such as GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and SE Ranking to guide decision-making
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Commercial, Design, and Digital teams on campaigns, landing pages, and optimisation projects
  • Stay informed on evolving SEO, AI search, and digital discovery trends
  • Contribute positively to innovation, continuous improvement, and cross-team collaboration

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

Essential

  • Proven experience managing and growing website performance through SEO and technical optimisation
  • Strong hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page SEO, and website architecture
  • Experience using analytics and SEO tools including GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, or similar platforms
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills
  • Ability to independently manage website improvements and optimisation projects
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Desirable

  • Experience implementing structured data, schema markup, and AEO best practice
  • Familiarity with AI search behaviours and emerging search technologies
  • Qualification in Digital Marketing, Web Development, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • SEO, analytics, or web development related certifications or equivalent practical experience

Interpersonal Fit

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Takes ownership and accountability for website performance and continuous improvement
  • Is curious about evolving search, AI, and digital discovery trends
  • Brings a practical, hands-on approach rather than purely strategic oversight
  • Communicates clearly and collaborates effectively across teams
  • Is analytical, proactive, and solutions-focused
  • Produces high-quality work with strong attention to detail
  • Aligns with our values of innovation, authenticity, inspiration, and relationships

Why Work With Us?

At KnowledgeBrief, we are committed to creating an environment where people feel supported, challenged, and able to grow. You’ll benefit from:

  • Dedicated monthly CPD time to support your development
  • 5.6 weeks’ annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Two-week company closure over Christmas and New Year
  • Company sick pay
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme and wellbeing support
  • Opportunities to contribute to cross-team projects and organisational growth
  • A hybrid working environment with regular opportunities to collaborate in person
