As we expand our apprenticeship provision, we’re recruiting for a Skills Coach to support our learners on the Coaching Professional Level 5 Apprenticeship programme and join an already thriving team of learning professionals.

Skills Coach – Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert coaching, guidance, and motivation to adult learners enrolled in the Level 5 Coaching Professional Apprenticeship
- Develop tailored learning plans, ensuring structured progression from each learner’s starting point
- Integrate on‑the‑job and off‑the‑job learning, supporting learners to apply core coaching techniques such as contracting, reflective practice, ethics, and stakeholder management
- Offer additional support and catch‑up strategies to meet individual learner needs
- Engage line managers in the learner’s progress through regular tripartite reviews
- Prepare learners for end‑point assessment, ensuring they are fully equipped for success
- Ensure learners meet apprenticeship off‑the‑job learning requirements and achieve their learning outcomes
- Proactively re‑engage learners who may be falling behind, supporting them to progress
- Participate in Apprenticeship Team and Standardisation meetings, contributing to the continuous improvement of our coaching practices
- Foster a passion for learning, engaging with professionals across diverse industries
Skills Coach – Experience & Qualifications
- We’re seeking a supportive and skilled coach with a strong professional grounding.
- Experience delivering coaching or mentoring in the workplace
- Knowledge and experience of the Level 5 Coaching Professional Apprenticeship Standard
- Coaching qualification at Level 5 or above (or relevant practical experience)
- Recognised teaching or assessing qualification (desirable)
- Membership of a coaching body such as EMCC, ICF, or Association for Coaching (desirable but not essential)
- Strong understanding of ethical practice, active listening, contracting, and coaching models
