We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and childcare experienced person to join the Bassetlaw Family Support & Safeguarding Team as a Family Support Worker. We are a multi-disciplinary team consisting of experienced social workers, newly qualified social workers, early help case managers, family support workers and regularly welcome students and apprentices into the team. We are also fortunate to have a worker from Women's Aid and will soon be joined by a worker from Change, Grow, Live (drug and alcohol service).

You will be joining a supportive and committed team who are passionate about making a difference to the lives of children, young people, and families. The role will require you to ‘think on your feet’, build positive relationships with children, their families and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes. You will have a high level of personal drive, have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to engage and build positive relationships with adults and children.

The team is very well supported by business support colleagues and dedicated social work support officers, who are an integral part of the team and enable practitioners to spend more time with children and their families. Nottinghamshire offers a wide range of training and you will receive regular supervision and development opportunities to further your career.
