A scale-up social media & content company is looking for someone to take ownership of all their business development & new business efforts. Currently, all new business is managed by the co-founders. As the business grows, they need a specialist to come in so that the co-founders can shift focus to other areas. Reporting into them, the new hire will still have inputs in strategy and opportunities but needs to have autonomy and an understanding of the industry.
Experience needed:
- Prior experience working within a marketing / social media / content agency, or within a social publishing business.
- The ability to identify opportunities for partnerships, targeted outreach, and close introductions.
- Build and manage a pipeline.
- Self-starter, comfortable managing your own time and working in a scale-up environment.
Role overview:
- Outreach via LinkedIn, email, CRM, and phone to prospects.
- Events and networking.
- Competitor research.
- Lead generation.
- Working with founders to plan pitches and proposals.
- Collaborate with internal social media & content teams to produce showcases for the agency's own socials and build brand awareness.
The agency is nearing 3 years old and produces creative and unique social media and content campaigns for a mixture of household names and challenger brands. They offer a mixture of social media management, social strategy, UGC, influencer marketing & partnerships, and content creation, mainly across TikTok and Instagram. They are based in Manchester but are happy to consider candidates from further afield as they often travel around Manchester, London, and Europe for shoots. UK-based candidates are preferred.
As this is a new role, they are open to package negotiations. Salary is £40-70K + commission.
