The Channel Sales Engineer is a vital member of the Channel Sales team having primary responsibility for providing pre‑sales technical support to prospective partners/clients for all KnowBe4 products as well as partners’ prospective customers. The position will help identify key customer requirements and position KnowBe4 products to meet those applicable requirements. The position will also educate current partners on KnowBe4 products to enable them in supporting their clients. In addition, this position will collaborate directly with other business units such as technical support to address complex technical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate directly with prospective partners to gather details to fully define technical issues or customer requirements
  • Communicate with partners and their prospects to facilitate the sale of KnowBe4 products with a high focus on maintaining strong and collaborative partner relationships.
  • Help to create brand awareness for KnowBe4 products in the context of Reseller interests.
  • Establish relationships with partners, prospects and existing clients in support of Partner Program objectives while engaging and leveraging corporate resources, abilities, budgets and personnel as appropriate.
  • Address technical issues that are impeding the closing of sales opportunities.
  • Work alongside Channel Account Managers to implement and manage technical proof‑of‑values (POVs) for prospective partners/clients.
  • Act as primary technical contact for prospective partners/clients.
  • Educate current partners on KnowBe4 products, with emphasis on tech enablement.
  • Investigate and document technical issues and communicate findings to development team or clients as required.
  • Create, maintain, and facilitate use of test environments for qualified partners.
  • Assist Channel Account Managers in leveraging all available Sales Engineering resources according to policy and procedure.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 year degree or technical degree preferred
  • 2 years of technical sales or sales engineering experience required.
  • Experience with Gmail and Google Docs
  • Experience with MS Office (Word and Excel)
  • Experience with web browsers (Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Highly organized and result‑oriented
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Can demonstrate technical troubleshooting and analysis ability
  • Can demonstrate integrity, accountability, respect and commitment
  • Strong collaborative and teamwork skills
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
