We are looking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager with experience with warehouse moves/ transitions. Oversee daily operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of our specific department during your assigned shifts. You will be responsible for managing a team of employees, maintaining high-quality standards, and delivering excellent customer service. Roles and responsibilities of the Warehouse Shift Manager include but are not limited to: * Supervise and lead a team of employees during designated shifts to achieve operational excellence and meet performance targets. * Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards to maintain a safe and productive work environment. * Schedule and assign tasks to staff members efficiently, taking into account workload and individual capabilities. * Train, mentor, and motivate team members to enhance their skills, productivity, and customer service delivery. * Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained. * Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally. * Collaborate with other Shift Managers and department heads to optimize operations and drive business goals. * Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to employees. * Oversee cash management procedures, including opening and closing tills and handling transactions accurately. * Uphold health and safety standards and ensure compliance with regulations at all times. * Manage the loading of all vehicles * Ensure the loads planned arrive on time and raise issues if not * Ensure the loads are checked and SAP report issued * Update the master transport tracker with status * Troubleshoot any issues with missed or late collections * Escalate any critical issues * Any other reasonable duties as required. * Tasks may vary by site. Skills: * Proven experience (2 years) in a supervisory or managerial role, with in a logistics or warehouse environment. * Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and inspire a diverse team. * Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. * Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. * Sound decision-making skills and the capability to handle high-pressure situations. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and point-of-sale (POS) systems Excel / SAP report / (OLAT) * Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures. * A proactive and results-driven approach to work. * A degree or relevant certification in related field is advantageous. It will be based at Doncaster and Barnsley as you will need to go between sites during the transition. Eventually will be based at Doncaster. £40,000 per annum – Days, 5 from 7. 1 in 3 rotation. 7am-5pm
