We're looking for a driven, outgoing and ambitious Sales Executive to join our growing team, helping customers find the right solar panel and battery storage solutions for their homes. You'll be speaking to customers who have already expressed an interest in solar and battery storage, understanding what they're looking for, helping put together a suitable solution and guiding them through to a sale. You don't need previous experience in solar, batteries or renewable energy. Full training will be provided. What matters most is your ability to sell, your attitude and your hunger to succeed. If you're confident on the phone, commercially minded and motivated by hitting targets, this is an opportunity to develop your sales career in a growing industry.
The Role
- Handling warm sales leads: Speaking with customers who have enquired about solar panels and battery storage, understanding their needs and identifying opportunities to make a sale.
- Understanding customer requirements: Asking the right questions to establish what customers are looking for, their property requirements and their reasons for considering solar.
- Developing tailored solutions: Helping customers explore suitable solar and battery storage options based on their requirements, using inhouse software to help design systems.
- Closing sales: Confidently presenting solutions, overcoming objections, answering questions and turning enquiries into successful sales.
- Following up opportunities: Keeping in touch with customers, managing your pipeline and ensuring potential sales don't go cold.
- Building relationships: Creating trust with customers, communicating clearly and delivering a positive experience throughout the sales process.
- Working towards targets: Taking ownership of your performance, consistently working towards individual and team sales targets, and looking for ways to improve results.
- Managing customer enquiries: Keeping accurate records and using internal systems to track conversations, progress opportunities and manage follow-ups.
- Working as part of a team: Sharing ideas, learning from colleagues and contributing to a motivated, high-energy sales environment.
About You
We're looking for someone with genuine sales ability, a positive attitude and the drive to make things happen. You might already be working in sales, or you could be looking for an opportunity to take your sales career in a new direction. Experience in solar or renewable energy isn't necessary; we'll teach you the products and technical knowledge you need. You'll ideally have:
- A confident, outgoing personality and the ability to build rapport quickly.
- A natural ability to sell, influence and persuade.
- A strong desire to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Confidence speaking with customers over the phone and guiding conversations towards a sale.
- The resilience to handle objections, overcome setbacks and keep pushing forward.
- A proactive approach to following up leads and maximising every opportunity.
- A commercial mindset, with an understanding of the importance of converting enquiries into revenue.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence using computers and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Previous sales experience is beneficial, particularly in a target-driven environment, but we're more interested in your attitude, personality and ability to sell than your knowledge of the solar industry.
Shift patterns:
- Rota A: 4 x days 8am-5pm, plus 1x late shift 11am - 8pm
- Rota B: 4 x days 8am-5pm, 1 x weekend day 9am - 3pm every other weekend
What's on Offer?
- 30 days' annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Excellent uncapped commission structure.
- Private medical cover with Aviva.
- Death in Service cover worth four times your salary with Zurich.
- Six months' paid maternity leave after one year of service.
- Paid paternity leave after one year of service.
- Salary sacrifice pension, matched up to 6%.
- Full training on solar, battery storage products and the sales process.
- Ongoing training and development opportunities.
- The opportunity to develop your sales skills within the growing renewable energy sector.
