An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Estimator based in the NW10 area working for a UK leading business.
Role Overview: Create and maintain accurate and efficient preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions for projects in line with company objectives.
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Estimating and Tendering
- Oversee the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for projects, including labour, materials, and equipment.
- Ensure all tenders are completed and submitted on time, meeting client specifications and deadlines.
- Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand client requirements.
- Identify risks and opportunities in project tenders, recommending strategies to mitigate or leverage these.
- Manage value engineering processes to optimise costs and maximise project profitability.
- Manage Subcontractor and supplier relations, research prices and obtain quotes in line with project specifications.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather market intelligence and negotiate terms.
- Attend client meetings, site visits, and pre-tender interviews as required.
- Provide advice and support to clients on cost-related queries and project feasibility.
- Process Improvement
- Implement and improve processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in estimating.
