The role is to meet customer delivery targets by utilising route and transport resources and staff planning to achieve delivery optimisation and management of customer deliveries. The role is fast-paced and involves the handling of a large amount of information from various internal and external sources.
Key Responsibilities
- Route Planning - Manage daily orders to meet efficient nationwide delivery demands - Plan effective routes for multi-drop deliveries within lead time expectations - Ensure all runs depart as scheduled - Manage driver allocation, loading boards and weekly schedules - Work with operations teams to manage changes in demand through planning
- Customer Management - Ensure administration of customer data and planning is accurate - Ensure customer issues are resolved in a timely manner - Report delivery analysis - Book deliveries directly with customers, managing expectations and communication at every step of the process - Appropriately escalate any customer issues - Assist retail and trade teams to resolve escalated issues
- Fleet and Vehicle Management - Management of vehicle requirements and maintenance schedules - Ensure fleet optimisation and reliability - Effectively capture driver feedback to resolve any challenges and issues
- Third Party - Manage allocation of orders and issues to appropriate third-party groups in a timely manner - Respond to all daily third-party inbound communication to ensure deliveries are completed
