If you enjoy solving problems, analysing data, improving business processes, and turning complex information into clear, actionable insight, this is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact within a growing manufacturing business.

The Role

As the Data Business Analyst, you'll act as the link between operational teams, business leaders, and technology.

You'll analyse how the business works today, identify opportunities for improvement, and deliver data-driven insights that support informed decision-making.

Working as part of the IT Transformation team, you'll help improve process consistency, enhance data quality, develop reporting solutions, and support the successful adoption of business systems across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture, map, and maintain business processes using tools such as Miro, producing clear L1, L2 and L3 process documentation, procedures and work instructions.
  • Analyse existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, bottlenecks and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to document agreed process changes and ensure improvements are implemented consistently.
  • Support users in the effective use of business systems, encouraging best practice and improving data accuracy across key platforms.
  • Query and analyse data using SQL to support operational reporting, business analysis and decision-making.
  • Use advanced Excel, including VBA/VB automation where appropriate, to manipulate, cleanse, reconcile and structure large data sets.
  • Design, develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that provide meaningful operational and strategic insight.
  • Produce regular management information (MI), KPI reporting and ad hoc analysis for senior leadership teams.
  • Translate business requirements into practical reporting and process solutions.
  • Support the ongoing adoption and development of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), Microsoft 365 and associated business applications.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple departments, communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Gain an understanding of manufacturing operations, including production, planning, supply chain and commercial activities, to deliver practical business improvements.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve reporting, automation, business processes and data quality.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong analytical ability with excellent communication skills and enjoys working across both data and business processes.

You'll ideally have experience in a Business Analyst, Data Analyst or Business Systems Analyst role and be comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a Business Analyst, Data Analyst or hybrid Business Systems role.
  • Strong business process mapping and documentation skills, including L1-L3 process modelling.
