Job Description:\\n\\nAn exciting opportunity has become available for a commercially minded Operations Manager to work for a market leading logistics specialist. There are a number of roles available across their sites in Yorkshire.\\n\\nPurpose of the role\\n\\n> The purpose of this role is to manage customer contracts from point of stock receipt through to dispatch of their retail, wholesale and web orders.\\n\\nMain duties and responsibilities of the Operations Manager\\n\\nWhat you do:\\n\\n> Communicating directly with the customers on all points relating to the processes and costs of operating their contracts.\\n\\n> Management of the direct staff resources working on the contract(s) to ensure labour costs are within budgeted targets.\\n\\n> Ensuring that the agreed customer KPIs (key performance indicators) and SLA (service level agreements) are within the budgeted targets across all activities.\\n\\n> Ensuring all customer service reports are issued on time and be able to introduce and implement any new customer initiatives.\\n\\n> Maintaining appropriate customer contact with senior customer representatives.\\n\\n> Training of staff and managers to ensure that everyone is performing adequately in their role.\\n\\n> Implementation of any new policies and procedures.\\n\\n> Playing an active part in the site management team including assisting other contracts when required.\\n\\nHow you do it:\\n\\n> Show up and do your best every day.\\n\\n> Approach work with excitement and curiosity, motivating others simultaneously. Understand how your words and actions may impact others, learn new ways to effectively communicate and make people feel valued developing and maintaining positive internal and external relationships at all levels.\\n\\nCandidate specification\\n\\n> Excellent communication skills (both verbal and in writing)\\n\\n> A good level of numeracy\\n\\n> An understanding of current health and safety regulations\\n\\n> Understanding of basic employment law\\n\\n> Good IT skills (Microsoft Office and warehousing systems)\\n\\n> An innovative, positive and pro-active approach to change\\n\\n> Ability to perform under pressure\\n\\n> Able to use initiative and organise own workload\\n\\n> Able to motivate a team\\n\\n> Creative approach to problem solving and the ability to think ’outside the box’\\n\\n> Proven record of recent experience working in a multi customer operation\\n\\n> A flexible approach to work and the ability to work with changing demands (including shift patterns).\\n\\nSalary – £37,477 per annum Plus weekend premium if required
