Know Capital, a well‑established accountancy practice, is recruiting a Tax Senior to join its team in Stratford‑upon‑Avon. The role focuses on tax advisory and compliance services for agricultural and rural businesses, including business owners, sole traders, partnerships, high‑net‑worth individuals, and related companies or trusts.

Responsibilities:
- Tax compliance for a mixed portfolio of clients
- Review tax returns prepared by junior team members
- Assist and train junior staff on various tax matters
- Support managers, directors and partners with complex projects including VAT advice, Inheritance Tax, Stamp Duty Land Tax advice and Capital Gains Tax planning and compliance
- Provide tax assistance to other departments and carry out ad‑hoc duties when required
- Liaise with clients regularly
- Identify tax planning opportunities and additional services to raise with clients
- Attend courses appropriate to the role and meet CPD requirements
- Generate and refer leads to other teams within the firm
Qualifications:
- ACA/ACCA and/or CTA qualified (other qualifications and exceptional QBE candidates may also be considered)
- At least three years’ tax experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong all‑round tax knowledge (personal and business tax, VAT, CGT and IHT)
- Good general IT skills and knowledge of tax software and HMRC online services
- Focused and enthusiastic with a collaborative approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle within commuting distance of the office
- Willingness to work outside normal hours occasionally
