Our client is recruiting for an Audit Assistant Manager to join a highly professional accountancy practice in London. Your Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, liaising with them throughout the audit cycle
- Manage teams through the planning, fieldwork and completion of audit engagements
- Monitor performance of teams, budgets and keep the partner updated on progress
- Manage and mentor junior team members, giving constructive feedback
- Ensure the effective and timely delivery of engagements
- Assist in tendering for new clients
- Maintain and develop client relationships, both in written communication and faceâtoâface meetings
- Liaise with other departments to efficiently complete jobs while adding value to client needs
- Maintain the firm's processes and technical standards, answering technical questions confidently
- Continuously develop technical skills in all areas of accounting and auditing standards
- Represent the firm professionally in dealings with clients and other professionals at all times
- Keep up to date with internal policies, procedures and announcements
- Perform other adâhoc duties in line with business requirements
Required Skills and Experience
- Qualified ACA or ACCA or recognised equivalent, with experience gained within a UK practice
- Experience managing audits and audit teams
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, FRS 101 and FRS 102
- Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and manage time effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Aptitude for building strong relationships with staff and clients
- Teamwork and problemâsolving skills
- Positive and ambitious attitude
- Good IT skills; experience with ProAudit, Sage Accounts Production Advanced, Sage Line 50, Xero is beneficial but not essential
