At Babington, we’re looking for a Sales Performance & Insight Lead to work with our group Head of Sales Optimisation and be the go-to expert for sales insight, reporting and performance intelligence for Babington. This is a high-impact role where your analysis won’t sit in a spreadsheet; it will directly shape outcomes, improve conversion, and help more learners start successfully.
This exciting new role is responsible for delivering high-quality sales reporting, analysis, and insight to support effective decision-making across the learner starts journey. The role focuses on maximising the performance of existing sales processes by providing clear visibility of pipeline health, conversion performance, and compliance readiness.
Acting as a central point for sales data and reporting, the role ensures leaders and teams have accurate, timely, and actionable insight to improve conversion, reduce fallout, and support the achievement of starts targets.
In this role you will:
- Own sales performance insight end-to-end
- Deliver clear, accurate and timely sales reporting across enquiries, opportunities, conversions and starts
- Build and evolve dashboards and reporting packs that senior leaders genuinely rely on
- Turn complex data into clear commentary, insight and recommendations
- Provide confidence in forecasting and expected starts delivery
- Act as the subject matter expert for sales performance metrics, definitions and data integrity
But this role is about more than reporting; you will actively support performance improvement by:
- Identifying where conversion slows, fallout occurs, or data quality impacts outcomes
- Working closely with sales, onboarding and compliance teams to drive incremental improvements
- Tracking lead-to-start and opportunity-to-start conversion, highlighting risks and opportunities early
- Ensuring reporting is audit-ready, compliant with funding rules, and trusted across the business
