Position: Dental Workplace Assessor - Part time (2 days per week)

Location: Exeter

Salary: £27,000-£28,000 pro rata

Responsibilities:

  • To book and carry out workplace assessments of Diploma in Dental Nursing learners within the required time period
  • Communicate effectively with practice managers and learners
  • Ensure the correct completion and submission of all assessment paperwork
  • Provide constructive feedback to the learner and practice manager in a sensitive manner
  • Prepare and support a small caseload of learners for EPA
  • Conduct health & safety and equal opportunities vetting and monitoring of practice and provide guidance where necessary
  • Plan and prepare for each workplace assessment
  • Remain current in your skills and knowledge of the dental sector and legislative requirements and maintain your GDC registration

What we need from you:

  • Level 3 Training or Assessing Qualification - or willingness to acquire
  • Qualified Dental Nurse with a minimum of 2 years experience
  • Enhanced DBS Check on the Update Service - or willing for one to be completed
  • Based in Exeter to conduct workplace assessments
  • Ability to plan work effectively and meet deadlines
  • IT literate - with effective use of MS Office
  • Experience of assessing the Dental Diploma/Advance Apprenticeship (desirable)
  • Experience of working within work-based learning programmes (desirable)
