They are an Ofsted Grade 2 "Good" provider, offering a range of high-quality apprenticeships, post-registration qualifications, CPD and Recruitment Services for aspiring dental professionals across the UK.
They are looking for bright people, with bright ideas and a true passion for results to join them as a portfolio assessor to support learners and employers to achieve their goals.
Position: Dental Workplace Assessor - Part time (2 days per week)
Location: Exeter
Salary: £27,000-£28,000 pro rata
Responsibilities:
- To book and carry out workplace assessments of Diploma in Dental Nursing learners within the required time period
- Communicate effectively with practice managers and learners
- Ensure the correct completion and submission of all assessment paperwork
- Provide constructive feedback to the learner and practice manager in a sensitive manner
- Prepare and support a small caseload of learners for EPA
- Conduct health & safety and equal opportunities vetting and monitoring of practice and provide guidance where necessary
- Plan and prepare for each workplace assessment
- Remain current in your skills and knowledge of the dental sector and legislative requirements and maintain your GDC registration
What we need from you:
- Level 3 Training or Assessing Qualification - or willingness to acquire
- Qualified Dental Nurse with a minimum of 2 years experience
- Enhanced DBS Check on the Update Service - or willing for one to be completed
- Based in Exeter to conduct workplace assessments
- Ability to plan work effectively and meet deadlines
- IT literate - with effective use of MS Office
- Experience of assessing the Dental Diploma/Advance Apprenticeship (desirable)
- Experience of working within work-based learning programmes (desirable)
