Location: Remote
Salary: £24,500 - £28,000
Hours: 36.5 hours a week - Monday to Friday
As a Development Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting learners undertaking Health and Social Care qualifications (Levels 2–5). Working closely with our Personal Tutors, you will provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to ensure learners progress successfully through their programmes. You will also contribute to the delivery of the broader curriculum, including safeguarding, Prevent, and welfare topics, while supporting learners with their e-portfolio (BUD) management.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality coaching and mentoring to learners throughout their qualification journey
- Collaborate with Personal Tutors to ensure an outstanding learner experience
- Engage with employers to provide Information, Advice, and Guidance throughout the programme
- Embed broader curriculum themes such as British Values, Safeguarding, and Prevent
- Coordinate workshop sessions and exam bookings, including functional skills
- Support learners returning from breaks in learning and help them re-engage
- Respond promptly to queries from learners, employers, and stakeholders
- Prepare learners for End-Point Assessment (EPA) and assist with portfolio readiness
- Use digital tools to provide constructive feedback in a secure and supportive manner
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and internal data security policies
Requirements
- GCSE Grade A–C (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Level 3 Coaching and Mentoring qualification (or willingness to work towards)
- Proven experience supporting learners to achieve qualifications
- Ability to create personalised learning and progression plans
- Experience in coaching learners to overcome barriers and achieve goals
- Strong understanding of the Apprenticeship sector, including EPA and safeguarding
- Collaborative team player committed to shared success
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Strong IT literacy and ability to use digital tools to enhance learning
