Position Summary:
MillerKnoll is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Technical Data Analyst to support our compliance efforts with international forest product regulations. This role will focus on collecting, validating, and managing product and supplier data, including geolocation files (GeoJSON), to ensure traceability and regulatory compliance across our global supply chain. The role will be responsible for data management and compliance processing for, at a minimum, the European Forest Regulations (EUTR, UKTR and EUDR) for Herman Miller, Knoll, and Geiger branded products and may be called upon to risk assess supply chains (training will be provided).
You will work cross-functionally with stewardship, supply management/procurement, IT, product teams, suppliers, trade compliance and logistics to ensure that all required documentation and data are accurate, complete, and risk assessment-ready. This position plays a critical role in maintaining MillerKnoll’s commitment to ethical sourcing, product and environmental stewardship, and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection and Validation
- Gather and organize product-level data including HS codes, supplier details, country of origin, and geolocation coordinates for three MillerKnoll brands.
- Ability to collect, verify, and manage large datasets and perform risk and compliance audits.
- Validate geolocation data (GeoJSON) for accuracy and completeness using mapping tools and supplier documentation.
- Ensure all data meets EUDR standards for deforestation-free verification and legality checks.
- Manage data within and become expert in the use of our Software as a Service (SAAS) system for EUTR/UKTR/EUDR.
- May conduct risk assessments on wood supply chains to support international regulations.
- Review and verify supplier documentation including necessary documentation including legality to harvest, supply chain maps, land ownership, harvesting permits, and sustainability certifications.
- Support case management with suppliers to investigate identified risks.
- Proficiency in GIS and traceability software (e.g., Sourcemap, Airbus Living Library) and satellite image processing or ability to quickly learn.
- Upload and maintain due diligence statements (DDS) and supporting documents in MillerKnoll’s compliance systems.
- Post and manage data within internal systems and external platforms.
- Collaborate with IT to automate data flows and improve traceability dashboards.
- Generate audit-ready reports and visualizations using tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Coordinate with suppliers to onboard them into compliance workflows.
- Support internal teams with training and documentation related to data requirements.
- The ability to work effectively with diverse teams and external partners to solve problems and ensure accurate data submission.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to align compliance strategy and data governance.
- Triage and escalate issues to correct stakeholders.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, compliance, or supply chain analytics.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools; SQL experience a plus.
- Experience in procurement, logistics, sustainability, and supply chain, regulatory or trade compliance is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of forest product regulations—such as the Lacey Act, EUDR, UKTR, and Australia’s Illegal Logging Prohibition Act—as well as familiarity with sustainability certification systems like FSC, PEFC, SFI, American Tree Farm System (ATFS), and Canadian Standards Association (CSA), is considered an asset.

- Self-motivated and able to work independently with some supervision.
- Ability to effectively use office automation, software, communication and tools used in the MillerKnoll office environment.
- Proficient with entire Microsoft Office suite.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with traceability platforms or blockchain-based compliance systems.
- Knowledge of EU regulatory frameworks and domestic and international supply chain operations.
- Ability to validate GeoJSON files using validation tools.
- Experience with supplier engagement and onboarding for compliance initiatives.
