Job summary
- To carry out month-end and year-end activities as required, assisting with management reporting
- Weekly & monthly sales reporting
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Sales commission calculations
- Credit Control
- Prepare VAT Returns
- Respond to customer payment queries as required
- Assist with year-end audit
- Assist Finance manager with ad-hoc analysis tasks, liaising with key stakeholders across the business as required
- Working closely with AP to advise on allocation of customer receipts & other reconciliations
- To work within the requirements of the company’s Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental management systems.
Specific responsibilities
- Month & year end – including but not limited to accruals & prepayments, fixed assets, FX journals, AP/AP recs & producing reports for Finance Manager
- Weekly sales reporting – Produce and report on regional sales (invoicing & backlog) to sales leads
- Month end reporting – including but not limited to OPEX reviews, variance analysis vs plan & preparation of schedules for reporting tool uploads
- Timely production of full balance sheet reconciliation pack for FM review
- Commission – Calculations for Europe & APMEA regions, including dealing with follow up queries, posting accrual and preparing payment pack for HR
- Credit Control – Chasing aged customer debts, liaising with sales leads, sending statements and review with FM
- Quarterly VAT return preparation and submission including monthly reconciliations.
- Assisting FM with preparing year end audit pack and other year-end tasks as necessary
- Regular review and follow-up of customer accounts as required to ensure accuracy, reasonable aging, and audit support purposes.
