Knock Medical Centre requires a Medical Receptionist - Monday to Friday to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Good communication skills, motivated, enthusiastic, hard-working, ability to work under pressure and as part of a busy and supportive team.
- Support our Clinical staff in providing a high quality medical service.
- Assist the GPs, Practice Manager, Nursing staff and Administrative team and comply with all practice protocols and procedures.
- Receive, assist and direct patients, at reception, in a courteous and efficient way.
- Deal with telephone calls for appointments, prescriptions and patient queries.
- Accurate message taking.
- Liaise with local pharmacies and other health care professionals.
- Deal with incoming and outgoing mail and the scanning of documents.
- New patient registration and other administrative tasks.
- Work with computerised systems including EMIS for booking appointments and data entry.
- Ensure confidentiality at all times.
- Any other duties to meet requirements of the post.

Essential Criteria:
- 4 GCSEs (including English and Maths) or equivalent, or at least 18 months relevant administrative experience.
- Competent in the use of IT systems and a minimum of 1 years experience working with the public in an administrative role.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times.
- Ability to accept change in an evolving work environment.
- Ability to work under pressure with a high degree of accuracy.
