An established, privately owned housebuilder is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join the team on a large-scale residential development.

The Project

You will initially be based on a 349-unit residential scheme, delivered across 7 blocks ranging from 3–17 storeys. The development is a partnership scheme and includes a mix of traditional build and steel frame construction. Current site duration: 18 months – 2 years remaining. Role focus: Managing internals on a block. Future opportunity to move onto a new residential scheme in Surrey following completion.

The Role

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will support the day-to-day management of the build, with a particular focus on internal works. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and coordinating internal trades and subcontractors
  • Ensuring works are delivered to programme, quality, and H&S standards
  • Carrying out quality checks and snagging
  • Supporting site logistics and short-term programming
  • Assisting with inspections, handovers, and client requirements
  • Maintaining strong communication with the wider site team

About You

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager (or strong Site Supervisor looking to step up)
  • Background in new build residential projects
  • Experience managing internal works preferred
  • Exposure to multi-storey developments and/or steel frame construction is advantageous
  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach
  • SMSTS / SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (or working towards)
