We are seeking a capable Technical Manager to join an award-winning residential developer, well known for their striking developments. Situated in a prime location in the heart of the capital's East End, the role will be site based on a 2500 unit, riverside scheme set to regenerate the area.

Reporting directly to the Technical Director, this individual will be required to look after one of their new phases and will also include managing a small team. The primary functions of the role will be to manage the design team and delivery of technical information from inception to completion and to coach and train staff, focused on personal development.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver the project in accordance with the business forecast and budget
  • Ensure compliance with Technical Department processes, procedures and reporting
  • Adhere to Group Health and Safety standards
  • Provide support to all other project team departments to deliver projects on time, safely and within budget
  • Manage and process the regular consultant Technical payments, preparing approval forms ready for the Senior Technical manager approval
  • Build and maintain effective networks both internally and externally to form mutually beneficial relationships
  • Manage and check all documentation required by the Sales and Marketing team ensuring consumer code compliance

The ideal candidate will think creatively and have an excellent eye for detail. They will need to take ownership and responsibility for the design team. Suitable applicants will be motivated and methodical individuals and could either be currently a very experienced Senior Technical Coordinator looking to take the next step in their career or an existing Technical Manager or Design Manager with the desire to gain experience working on a larger, high rise scheme.

A proven track record of delivering large residential or mixed-use developments for a contractor or developer is essential. Individuals must be self-motivated, with a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic. Suitable candidates must have detailed knowledge of Building Regulations combined with strong project administration and organisational skills. The candidate will be an effective communicator who can both work effectively with production and commercial as well as develop solid relationships with their consultants.

This is an opportunity to work on a unique project in the capital with signature architects. A very competitive salary of between £77k to £83K plus a generous package is on offer.
