We're recruiting for an experienced Senior Clerk of Works to join a well established consultancy practice covering residential and commercial developments across the Swindon area. Reporting to the Team Leader, you'll be responsible for inspecting projects throughout the construction process, ensuring quality standards are maintained and producing detailed inspection reports.
The Role
- Carry out inspections on a range of new build residential developments, together with some commercial projects.
- Produce clear, accurate inspection reports.
- Visit live sites, typically around once a week per project.
- Work from home or whilst travelling to complete reports and manage your workload.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience working as a Clerk of Works is essential, at least 5 years in the role is expected for any sort of organisation.
- Membership of the Institute of Clerk of Works (ICWCI), or currently working towards membership is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and quality standards.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce professional reports.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across your allocated region.
Package
- £55,000 - £60,000 depending on experience.
