Senior Design Coordinator – Construction Kent Coordinate technical and design processes, design teams and subcontractors throughout detail design, procurement and construction, Technical design coordination of schemes Assisting Design Manager with reviewing of consultants detail design drawings and subcontractor designs Coordinating consultants and their deliverables driving a high standard Providing support to Design Manager on job running Ensuring fully complete, correct and coordinated packages issued to Commercial and Construction teams Maintaining and delivering in accordance with Company values Managing subcontractor and supplier design approvals ensuring timely turnaround Monitoring subcontractor design approvals and keep up dated approvals schedule in line with build programme Managing the flow of information to Commercial, Operations and Client. Updating and coordinating monthly design schedules Reviewing and coordinating design and technical related issues with the Commercial and Operations teams. Managing change control process for variations in relation to drawing revisions, construction programmes and costs Monitoring and obtaining all critical certificates to ensure documentation is in place for completion and handovers Managing the processing of information through workflows on the document management system Principle design and technical contact during construction works Monitoring work executed on site to ensure that is as benchmarked and as designed/specified Managing, investigating and responding promptly with full close out to RFIs from site team and subcontractors Reviewing and advising on corrective measures for identified design issuesQualifications Essential An analytical approach to work with an eye for detail. Ability to review drawings and identify buildability and technical issues Design delivery and assessing risks Proven track record of design coordination Knowledge of methodology and sequencing process in delivering a construction project including design and pre-construction activities Relevant Design and Build experience
