I'm currently working with a well-established residential developer who is looking to appoint an experienced Assistant Site Manager for a new traditional-build housing development on the Bedfordshire / Milton Keynes side. This is one of two new sites coming through, with the Site Manager due to be on site from October and an Assistant Site Manager required around 8 weeks later. They would also be happy to accommodate an earlier start for the right person, with the opportunity to gain exposure across other developments before moving onto the new site.
The role will involve:
- Supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the development
- Managing subcontractors and coordinating trades on site
- Monitoring quality, snagging and handovers
- Helping to drive programme and ensure works are completed to schedule
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety
- Assisting with site logistics, deliveries and general site coordination
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience working as an Assistant Site Manager
- A background in new-build residential construction
- Ideally experience working on traditional-build housing developments
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- The confidence to support an experienced Site Manager and take ownership of areas of the site
This is a permanent opportunity with a respected housebuilder and would suit someone based around Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes or the surrounding areas who is looking for a long-term move. For more information, please get in touch.
