A hugely successful Contractor is seeking a Design Manager to be site-based on a brand new scheme in Birmingham. Having already expanded and established themselves within a number of cities, this is a great opportunity to take the lead on a scheme that will open up opportunities in the area.
Main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Ensuring the design process recognises current legislation, standards and codes of practice, where appropriate.
- Ensuring design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescale.
- Ensure proper coordination between different design teams.
- Cost estimating, including recommendation of cost effectiveness and practical a alternatives
- Project involvement from conception to delivery
- Overseeing and reviewing design drawings
Applicants will preferably be existing Design/Technical Managers or experienced Design/Technical Coordinators who are seeking the next step in their career. However, Senior Architectural Technologists/Technicians or Architects with significant Residential, Student Accommodation or Hotel experience will also be considered.
