We are working with a 5* rated housebuilder who is seeking an experienced Inspections Manager to join their growing team in Cambridge. This is a key customer-facing role, ensuring homes are delivered to the highest standards and that customer issues are managed efficiently and professionally.
The Role:
As Inspections Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing property inspections, identifying defects or customer-reported issues, and ensuring these are accurately logged and referred to the relevant internal departments for resolution and snagging works.
You will act as a central point of coordination between customers, site teams, customer care, and subcontractors, ensuring a smooth and timely process from issue identification through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out inspections on completed and occupied properties
- Identify, record, and report defects, snags, and customer issues
- Liaise with site, build, customer care, and commercial teams to allocate works
- Monitor progress of remedial and snagging works to ensure timely resolution
- Maintain clear and accurate records and reports
- Provide a high standard of customer service, managing expectations professionally
- Support the business in maintaining its 5* customer satisfaction rating
About You
- Previous experience in a similar role within residential housebuilding or construction
- Strong understanding of build quality, defects, and snagging processes
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident liaising with multiple internal departments and external contractors
- Ability to manage priorities and work autonomously
