Assistant Site Manager - Cambridgeshire (Housebuilding) An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a high-quality residential development in Cambridgeshire. This scheme consists of a collection of 2-5 bedroom traditionally built homes, designed with a strong focus on quality, sustainability, and modern living. The development features a landscaped, parkland-style setting and incorporates energy-efficient technologies such as air source heat pumps, solar panels, and electric vehicle charging, offering a premium build environment. The Role: As Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Site Manager in the day-to-day running of the development, ensuring plots are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard. Key responsibilities include: Assisting with the delivery of traditional build housing units from groundwork through to completion Managing subcontractors and coordinating trades on site Maintaining high standards of health & safety across the development Supporting quality control and ensuring NHBC/LABC standards are met Managing plots through key stages including pre-plaster and CML inspections Liaising with internal departments including sales and customer care Requirements: Previous experience working for a housebuilder in an Assistant Site Manager or similar role Strong knowledge of traditional build construction methods Proven ability to manage subcontractors and maintain high site standards Good understanding of health & safety regulations Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid What's on Offer: Salary up to £55,000 Competitive package Opportunity to work on a high-spec, quality-led residential development Clear long-term career progression
