Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a Tax Semi Senior to join a well‑established and growing accountancy practice based in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for an ATT part‑qualified or fully qualified tax professional to join a supportive firm and gain exposure to a varied portfolio of clients across both personal and corporate tax. You will be working within a mixed tax role, supporting a wide range of clients including SMEs, owner‑managed businesses, and high‑net‑worth individuals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of personal tax returns (self‑assessment) for individuals, sole traders, and partnerships
  • Assisting with corporation tax computations and CT600 submissions
  • Supporting on corporate tax compliance and advisory work
  • Handling HMRC correspondence and resolving tax queries
  • Assisting with capital gains tax (CGT), inheritance tax (IHT), and tax planning work
  • Liaising directly with clients to gather information and provide support
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with HMRC deadlines and compliance requirements
  • Supporting senior tax staff and managers on more complex tax matters
  • Maintaining accurate client records and documentation

Requirements

  • ATT part‑qualified or fully ATT qualified
  • Minimum 2–4 years’ experience within an accountancy practice or tax role
  • Strong knowledge of personal tax, corporation tax, and HMRC compliance
  • Experience preparing self‑assessment tax returns and assisting with corporate tax
  • Understanding of CGT, IHT, and basic tax planning
  • Good communication and client‑facing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work in a fast‑paced environment
