A fast-growing and highly respected Accountancy Practice with offices across London, Glasgow and Hertfordshire is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant / Semi Senior Accountant to join their specialist Music & Entertainment division based in Central London. This is a unique opportunity to join a niche specialist firm working with clients across the Music, Entertainment, Media, Creative Arts and Sports industries. The firm acts for a wide range of musicians, DJs, producers, influencers, entertainers, sports professionals, management companies, record labels and creative businesses across the UK.

The Opportunity

This role would suit an ACCA / ACA Qualified Accountant or Finalist (1-2 exams remaining) with strong UK Practice experience and previous exposure managing Music, Media, Entertainment or Creative Industry clients. The successful candidate will manage their own portfolio of clients whilst working closely with business owners, artists, entertainers and high-net-worth individuals across the creative sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of approximately 150–180 Music & Entertainment industry clients
  • Preparing statutory accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105
  • Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
  • Corporation Tax (CT600) compliance
  • Preparing Self-Assessment and Personal Tax Returns
  • Providing Personal Tax advice to clients within the Music & Entertainment sector
  • Managing bookkeeping and year-end accounting processes
  • Liaising directly with musicians, entertainers, agents, managers and creative businesses
  • Supporting clients with cloud accounting software including Xero and QuickBooks
  • Ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met efficiently
  • Building long‑term client relationships within the Music, Media and Entertainment sectors

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • ACA or ACCA Qualified status, or Finalist level with 1-2 exams remaining
  • Minimum 3+ years’ UK Accountancy Practice experience
  • Previous experience managing Music, Entertainment, Media or Sports industry clients (ESSENTIAL)
  • Strong understanding of accounting and tax requirements within the Entertainment industry
  • Experience preparing statutory accounts, VAT returns and tax returns
  • Strong knowledge of FRS 102 and FRS 105
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience using Xero, QuickBooks and cloud accounting software
