A growing and highly regarded Accountancy Practice is seeking a Senior Accountant / Semi Senior Accountant to join its specialist Music & Entertainment team based in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA Qualified Accountant, or ACCA/ACA Finalist, to work with an exciting portfolio of clients across the Music, Entertainment, Media, Creative Arts and Sports sectors. The firm acts for musicians, DJs, producers, influencers, entertainers, sports professionals, management companies, record labels and creative businesses throughout the UK.
The Role
- Managing a portfolio of approximately (Apply online only) clients.
- Preparing statutory accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105.
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns.
- Corporation Tax (CT600) compliance.
- Preparing Self-Assessment Tax Returns.
- Personal Tax compliance and advisory work.
- Managing bookkeeping and year-end accounting processes.
- Advising clients on accounting and tax matters.
- Supporting clients with Xero, QuickBooks and cloud accounting software.
- Liaising directly with artists, entertainers, management companies and creative businesses.
- Building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Ensuring all compliance deadlines are met.
Requirements
- ACA or ACCA Qualified, or Finalist level with 1-2 exams remaining.
- Minimum 3 years' UK Accountancy Practice experience.
- Previous experience working with Music, Entertainment, Media, Creative or Sports industry clients.
- Experience preparing statutory accounts, VAT returns and tax returns.
- Strong knowledge of FRS 102 and FRS 105.
- Corporation Tax and Personal Tax experience.
- Experience managing a client portfolio.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Experience using Xero, QuickBooks and cloud accounting software.
