A fast-growing and modern accountancy practice based in Central London is seeking an ACA or ACCA Qualified Accountant to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant looking to work with a diverse portfolio of clients across the Medical, Sports and Entertainment sectors, whilst developing their technical and client-facing skills within a supportive and growing firm.
The Role
- Managing a portfolio of clients and providing a range of accounting, tax and advisory services, including:
- Preparing statutory accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105.
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns across various VAT schemes.
- Corporation tax compliance and loss relief claims.
- Bookkeeping and management accounts preparation.
- Payroll processing and related compliance.
- Supporting clients with accounting and tax queries.
- Building strong client relationships and providing proactive advice.
- Liaising with HMRC and other third parties where required.
Requirements
- ACA or ACCA Qualified and a current UK member.
- Experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
- Strong knowledge of FRS 102 and FRS 105.
- Experience preparing statutory accounts.
- Good understanding of VAT, including different VAT schemes.
- Experience with corporation tax and loss reliefs.
- Bookkeeping and payroll experience.
- Excellent communication and client management skills.
- Commercially minded with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance clients.
