A leading firm of Chartered Accountants & Tax Advisers with offices across the region is seeking a Personal Tax Manager in Watford. The firm is growing, dynamic, and innovative, continually developing new ideas and services to better support clients.

THE ROLE
- Working closely with the Tax Principals and wider team to achieve results and foster a positive team environment
- Liaising with and meeting clients to understand and meet their requirements
- Preparing personal, partnership, and trust tax returns for more complex clients
- Reviewing personal tax returns, advisory work, and technical work prepared by junior team members
- Identifying tax planning opportunities, advising clients, and assisting with implementation
- Assisting with and responding to HMRC enquiries and compliance checks
- Collaborating with multiple teams and Principals across the firm on ad-hoc advisory projects
ABOUT YOU
- CTA qualified (or equivalent)
- 2+ years’ PQE
- Experience gained within a personal tax practice
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage and support junior team members
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients, with responsibility for compliance and identifying planning opportunities
- Good IT skills, ideally with experience using Digita tax software
- Up-to-date technical tax knowledge, supported by recent training and practical experience
- Strong communication skills with both clients and colleagues
BENEFITS & EMPLOYMENT DETAILS
- Full-time role – Monday to Friday
- Flexible time policy, with a combination of office and home working
- Remuneration dependent on experience
- Right to work in the UK required
- Annual Christmas Bonus equivalent to one week’s salary
- Salary Sacrifice Pension Scheme (auto-enrolment subject to eligibility) | Employer: 5% | Employee: 3%
- Private Medical Insurance following completion of 3 months’ service (taxable benefit)
- Death in Service cover (4x salary)
- Group Income Protection Scheme (non-contributory) following completion of 3 months’ service
- Annual leave of 25 days per annum (pro rata), with 3 days typically taken over Christmas/New Year
