Knightwell Recruitment is working in partnership with a growing and highly respected UK accountancy practice seeking an experienced Personal Tax Senior to join their established tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ATT and CTA qualified tax professional with experience managing personal tax portfolios, self-assessment tax returns, inheritance tax, capital gains tax, trusts and estates. The role offers a mixture of tax compliance and tax advisory work whilst providing long-term career progression within a supportive and forward-thinking practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients.
  • Preparing and reviewing Self-Assessment Tax Returns.
  • Advising clients on Personal Tax, Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and Inheritance Tax (IHT).
  • Preparing and reviewing Trust and Estate Tax Returns.
  • Advising on Trusts, Estates, Wills and Probate matters.
  • Supporting clients with Estate Planning and Wealth Preservation strategies.
  • Providing Personal Tax Planning advice to business owners, directors and high-net-worth individuals.

Requirements

  • ATT or CTA Qualified
  • Minimum 4 years' experience within a UK Accountancy Practice.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of Personal Tax clients.
  • Strong technical knowledge of:
    • Personal Tax
    • Self-Assessment Tax Returns
    • Capital Gains Tax (CGT)
    • Inheritance Tax (IHT)
    • Estate Planning
    • Tax Planning
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills.

  • High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs).
  • Complex Tax Advisory Projects.
  • Reviewing and mentoring junior staff.
  • Owner-Managed Businesses (OMBs).
