An established and growing accountancy practice in the North West is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join its leadership team. This opportunity would suit a technically strong, commercially aware and client-focused individual looking to play a key role within a progressive firm. The position is offered at Manager level with clear short-term progression towards RI status. The successful candidate will work closely with the existing management team with the long-term aim of helping lead and develop the firm’s audit offering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver audit assignments from planning through to completion
  • Manage a portfolio of SME, owner-managed business, professional practice and not-for-profit clients
  • Line manage and support junior team members
  • Support business development initiatives including tenders and pitches
  • Assist with due diligence work and technical accounting matters
  • Support the firm’s Audit Quality Control processes

Requirements

  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Currently operating at Audit Manager level within practice
  • Strong knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards
  • General practice background
  • Experience managing multiple audits and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to audit quality
