A well-established accountancy practice and business advisory firm is looking to appoint a Qualified Audit & Accounts Senior / Audit & Assurance Senior to join their growing team in Leeds. This opportunity is ideal for an ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualified accountant currently working as an Audit Senior, Audit & Accounts Senior or Practice Accountant within an accountancy practice environment, who is looking to progress their career within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.
The Role
As an Audit & Accounts Senior, you will work with a varied portfolio of clients, delivering both external audit assignments and statutory accounts preparation while supporting managers and partners across the wider Audit & Assurance team.
- Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies in line with UK accounting standards
- Planning, coordinating and completing external audit assignments for a range of clients
- Working on group audits and multi-entity engagements
- Liaising directly with clients to obtain financial information and resolve queries
- Preparing audit files and financial reporting documentation for manager and partner review
- Supporting the wider audit and assurance team with client assignments
- Ensuring all audit and accounts work is completed within agreed deadlines and budgets
The Candidate
The successful candidate will likely be working as an Audit Senior, Audit & Accounts Senior, Practice Accountant or Audit & Assurance Senior within an accountancy practice, and will have strong experience across audit and statutory accounts preparation.
- ACA / ACCA / ICAS qualified accountant
- Strong experience in external audit and financial reporting
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment
- Strong client communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
