The Opportunity
An established and well-regarded independent accountancy practice in Lancaster is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant to join its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious practice professional seeking a long-term career with a supportive firm that values technical expertise, client relationships and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of clients, including limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
- Prepare corporation tax returns and associated computations.
- Manage your own portfolio of clients, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
- Review bookkeeping, VAT returns and management accounts.
- Liaise directly with clients, providing advice and resolving queries.
- Support junior team members where required.
- Work closely with senior management to ensure a high standard of client service.
About You
- Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice is essential.
- AAT qualified, ACCA/ACA part-qualified or qualified by experience.
- Strong experience preparing statutory accounts and tax computations.
- Confident using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Comfortable managing client relationships independently.
