The Role
We are seeking a Wills & Probate Solicitor (3+ PQE), or CILEX/FILEX qualified lawyer, to join a busy and growing Private Client / Probate team. You will manage a varied caseload including:
- Drafting Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA), and Powers of Attorney (simple to complex)
- Handling Probate & Estate Administration matters from start to finish
- Managing High Net Worth (HNW) estates and taxable estates
- Preparing and submitting IHT400s, advising on Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning and reliefs
- Advising on Intestacy and estate disputes
- Trust work including:
- Discretionary Trusts & Life Interest Trusts
- Ongoing Trust Administration
- Tax implications across trust structures
About You
- Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive (CILEX/FILEX), or equivalent
- 3+ years PQE in Private Client / Wills & Probate
- Strong experience in Wills, Probate, Estate Administration & Trusts
- Experience handling HNW clients and complex estates (advantageous)
- STEP qualified or working towards (desirable)
- Strong client-facing and advisory skills
- Commercially aware, proactive, and team-oriented
