A leading and ambitious accountancy and advisory firm is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join its growing Tax Consultancy team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a CTA-qualified tax professional looking to take ownership of a varied portfolio, deliver high-quality advisory and compliance services, and play a key role in mentoring and developing junior team members.
The Role
- Reviewing complex corporate tax computations and returns prepared by junior team members.
- Providing technical guidance, training and mentoring to Tax Assistants, Seniors and Assistant Managers.
- Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients and ensuring exceptional client service.
- Delivering proactive tax planning and advisory solutions.
- Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders to provide tailored tax advice.
- Monitoring work progress, recoverability and billing across your portfolio.
- Supporting recruitment activities, including graduate and experienced hire recruitment.
- Undertaking formal line management responsibilities.
About You
- CTA qualification.
- At least 3+ years' experience in Corporate Tax Compliance and Advisory.
- Strong technical corporate tax knowledge.
- Excellent client-facing and relationship management skills.
- Experience reviewing work and mentoring junior team members.
- The ability to communicate complex tax matters clearly and effectively.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Experience with Alphatax would be advantageous but is not essential.
