We’re recruiting a Practice Manager for a specialist accountancy practice that works exclusively with construction clients. This is an opportunity for a commercially minded accountant who wants to lead a niche practice, grow its client base and work towards becoming an equity partner.
You’ll manage an existing client portfolio and a team of four accountants: two based in the UK and two offshore. Alongside overseeing the team’s work, you’ll provide advisory and consultancy support to construction businesses, develop new relationships and build a strong pipeline of future clients.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead, coach and mentor the accounting team
- Manage client relationships and oversee the existing portfolio
- Advise construction clients on accounting and commercial matters
- Generate new business and develop a consistent pipeline
- Help shape the practice’s growth and service offering
What you’ll need:
- FCCA or FCA qualification
- Extensive experience working with construction clients in an accountancy practice
- Strong, hands-on knowledge of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)
- Experience managing accountants and developing client relationships
- A commercial approach and the confidence to win new business
- Willingness to travel to the Midlands to meet clients when needed
The role is fully remote, with occasional client meetings in the Midlands. For someone who delivers strong results and helps grow the practice, there is a potential route to equity partnership.
