An established independent accountancy practice in Newcastle-under-Lyme is looking for an Audit & Accounts Manager to lead audit assignments and build strong relationships with clients. You’ll take ownership of audits from planning through to completion, review work and support the wider audit team. The firm has separate audit and accounts departments, so experience with accounts preparation and tax would be an advantage.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and leading statutory audits through to completion
- Reviewing audit files and ensuring work meets the required standards
- Managing client relationships and keeping assignments on track
- Supervising and developing junior team members
- Working with colleagues across the audit and accounts teams
What we’re looking for:
- Strong, recent audit experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Hands-on experience leading audit assignments
- ACCA or ACA qualification
- The confidence to manage clients and support a team
The role is primarily office-based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, so local candidates are preferred. The salary is flexible and will reflect your experience and suitability.
