We’re looking for a highly capable Executive Assistant to provide trusted, proactive support to the Chief Financial Officer in a high-impact, fast-moving and regulated environment. This is a senior Executive Assistant role requiring strong judgement, financial awareness, and the confidence/proven experience to operate at the Board and Executive level. This is a fantastic company to work for: they offer amazing benefits, the role is hybrid working, 9am – 5pm. They have offices in London and Crawley, and you would be based between these two offices, as well as working from your own home.
The Role
- Act as a strategic partner and Executive Assistant to the CFO, managing a demanding diary and inbox while balancing competing priorities.
- Protect and optimise the CFO’s time through effective gatekeeping and forward planning.
- Play a central role in key finance and governance cycles, including results, audits, budgets, Board reporting, and major transactions.
- Support Board and Audit Committee activity, including coordination of papers, agendas, minutes, and meeting logistics.
- Prepare and refine high-quality presentations, reports, and briefings involving complex financial and commercially sensitive information.
- Act as a key liaison with senior stakeholders, including Board members, Executive Committee, auditors, banks, and legal advisers.
- Handle sensitive information with absolute discretion and operate in line with governance and regulatory requirements.
About You
- Significant experience as an Executive Assistant supporting a CFO, Finance Director, or senior finance leader within a complex or regulated organisation.
- Switched on, numerate, able to work at pace.
- Take accountability, driven.
- FTSE100/250 experience is preferred.
- Proven experience supporting Board and Audit Committee processes.
- Strong financial and commercial awareness, with confidence working with numbers and financial materials.
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
- Gravitas, sound judgement, and the confidence to work with senior executives and external advisers.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word, with a track record of producing high-quality outputs.
- Experience in financial services or another regulated sector, and exposure to audits, transactions, or investor activity, would be an advantage.
