A private household in St John’s Wood, North London is seeking a professional, discreet, and experienced Housekeeper/Cook for a long-term position. This role is available on either a live-in or daily basis and would suit a candidate who takes pride in maintaining high household standards and enjoys cooking.

Options:

  • Option 1: Monday to Friday, 10:00am–3:00pm and 5:00pm–8:00pm; Every other Saturday, 10:30am–3:30pm (rota basis)
  • Option 2: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm; Accommodation (Live-In Option): Self-contained one-bedroom flat attached to the main house with a separate private entrance.

£50,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Approximately 50% housekeeping (cleaning, laundry, ironing, organisation)
  • 50% cooking, including assisting the private chef
  • Maintain the home to an exceptional standard of cleanliness and presentation
  • Assist with meal preparation and follow a strict healthy diet in line with the principal’s requirements
  • Cover for the private chef during annual leave, following recipes accurately
  • Work collaboratively with other household staff to ensure smooth daily operations

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a private household
  • Strong cooking skills with confidence following recipes
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and comfortable working as part of a small team
  • Flexible, professional, and discreet at all times
