We are seeking a dedicated, full-time Housekeeper to join a well-established private household. The ideal candidate is energetic, self-starting, detail-oriented, and takes genuine pride in their work. This is a long-term position for someone proactive and flexible, who thrives in a dynamic home environment and is keen to make the role their own.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as first responder to doorbell – handling first-level security, deliveries, and guest arrival
- Grocery shopping – local shops and online; unpacking and storing items appropriately
- Fridge management – cleaning, restocking, checking expiration dates
- Basic home-style cooking – preparing meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) as requested
- Cleaning kitchen, bathrooms, and household surfaces to a high standard
- Laundry and ironing – including handling delicate fabrics with care
- Lightbulb changing, including antique fixtures
- Organising and tidying high-traffic areas such as boot room and entrance areas
- Seasonal deep cleaning (during school holidays) – kitchen, bathrooms, silverware, appliances
The Ideal Candidate Will Be:
- Proactive with a \"can-do\" attitude
- Experienced in high-standard housekeeping
- Discreet, reliable, and trustworthy
- Knowledgeable about cleaning products and methods, but open to learning new approaches
- A proficient home cook, able to respond flexibly to meal requests
