Based in the South East, with a central London office, we design, install, commission and maintain CCTV, access control, intruder alarm and fire alarm systems throughout London, the South East and across the UK. We also support selected projects in Europe and the United States.

Role Description

This is a full-time field-based position covering London and the South East, with occasional travel throughout the UK and internationally. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, fault finding, commissioning and maintenance of CCTV, access control, intruder alarm and fire alarm systems across a varied client portfolio. You will work independently and as part of a team, supporting projects from initial installation through to final commissioning and client handover. The role will also involve carrying out site surveys, identifying remedial works, producing accurate documentation and maintaining the high standards of workmanship and customer service that Knightsbridge Security Systems is known for.

This is more than a traditional engineering role. As the business continues to grow, we are looking for someone with the ambition and ability to progress into project management and operational responsibilities, helping shape the future of the company.

What we're Looking For

  • Proven experience installing, servicing and commissioning electronic security and/or fire alarm systems
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience with CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarm and Fire Alarm systems
  • Good understanding of IP networking and connected security systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Professional communication skills with clients and colleagues
  • High standard of paperwork and job documentation
  • Knowledge of relevant British Standards and industry best practice
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers would be advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Experience with manufacturers such as Hikvision, Avigilon, Honeywell Galaxy, Texecom, Paxton, Lenel, Milestone, Advanced, Apollo, Gent or similar would be advantageous, but is not essential.
