Management Accountant / Bookkeeper in Holland Park, Central London
Location:Hybrid β 3 days private family office / 2 days remote
Salary:Β£45,000βΒ£60,000 per annum, depending on experience
A prestigious private Family Office is looking to appoint an experiencedManagement Accountant / Bookkeeperto join its small and highly trusted private office.
The successful candidate will provide hands-on financial support to a business associated with one of the principals. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working in a close-knit environment and is comfortable taking ownership of day-to-day accounting responsibilities.
The role will suit an experienced Bookkeeper or Management Accountant with strong technical bookkeeping skills, sound commercial awareness and a high degree of professionalism and discretion.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the day-to-day bookkeeping for three entities.
- Accurately record and process approximately 100β200 financial transactions each month.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations and manage payment processes.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, ensuring full compliance with Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements.
- Support the CFO with additional accounting, reporting and finance-related projects as required.
- Maintain high standards of financial accuracy, organisation and confidentiality across all areas of the role.
We are seeking an experienced finance professional who can work confidently and independently within a small private office environment.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in aSenior Bookkeeper, Management Accountant or similar finance position.
- Experience working within a Family Office or similarly private and confidential environment would be advantageous.
- Strong bookkeeping experience and a proven ability to manage accounts independently. Practical experience preparing monthly management accounts.
- Experience withVAT marginal relief. Strong working knowledge ofXero β essential. AAT, ACCA or equivalent qualification would be desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to financial administration. A professional, reliable and discreet manner, with the highest standards of confidentiality.
- The ability to manage priorities effectively and work autonomously while supporting senior stakeholders when required.
